Cotter High School Choirs Present Christmas Concert

The Cotter High School Choirs will present their annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 7:30 PM in the beautiful Chapel of St. Mary of the Angels. The Chapel of St. Mary of the Angels is located on the corner of Vila and Wabasha (7th) streets.
Each choir, the Cotter Concert Choir and Show Choir will present a variety of selections. Concert Choir selections will include “Gaudate”, a Renaissance piece.  Also, on the program is “African Celebration”, a medley including “Betelehemu”, “African Noel”, and “Siyahamba”. The Concert Choir will also sing other holiday selections and traditional Christmas carols.
Another performing group that will be featured in the concert is the Show Choir. Their selections are more popular and contemporary. The Cotter Show Choir will perform upbeat selections such as “I’m a Believer”, and a medley of 70’s tunes entitled “Disco Survives.”
The last portion of the concert is dedicated to those who enjoy the more traditional Christmas carols such as “The First Noel,” “Joy to the World,” and others. All Cotter Choir alumni are invited to join the Concert Choir in the traditional singing of “Peace, Peace” as the closing selection. The Cotter Choirs are under the direction of Cathy Snyder.  Mark Roeckers will accompany on piano.  The Show Choir choreographer is  Madeline Beuning.
Everyone is welcome and there is no admission fee.
