We are excited for the return of Okisho REP! What is Okisho REP? REP stands for Reciprocal Exchange Program. Okisho, short for Okinawa Shogaku High School, located in Okinawa, Japan. We have worked with Okisho since 2002.
Students will be staying in Winona from February 21-March 7. They will be in class Friday, February 22-Wednesday March 6 (some part days, some full days). We will be hosting 10 Japanese students in grades 10 and 11. They will stay in our dormitory and will be placed with families on the weekends.
While they are here, students will shadow a Cotter student in the classroom and participate in special activities and excursions around Winona. Additionally, International Week falls on March 3, so these students will participate in the International Dinner on March 4. The students will also share their karate talents with us during special International Week activities. The students visiting want to see American high school life and work on language skills.
Please help us welcome our friends from Japan!
