Ramblers of Month - March 2019

Cotter Schools’ introduced a “Culture of Positivity” theme this school year that highlights positive characteristics each month throughout the year. For the month of March, we lift up collaboration. Congratulations to Bowen Tian, Alison French, and Savanna Welters who were selected for displaying this characteristic!

Cotter High School 11th grade student, Bowen Tian, is Co-Rambler of the Month for March. Bowen is from Beijing, China and is the son of Chuanzhan Tian and Dandan Zhou. This is his 3rd year at Cotter.

Bowen has been a member of the soccer, basketball and tennis teams, with tennis being his favorite sport! He is a member of the Cotter choir and show choir. He also likes to sketch and draw, and has some of his works on display next to the Cotter skyway. He enjoyed participating in History Day and is advancing to the state competition. He also enjoys his workouts in the student fitness center.

Bowen said he really likes living in the dorms because of the “free laundry room, and all of the activities that are planned for students.” He said he thinks everyone is very nice, and wants to thank all people at Cotter for making him feel welcomed. After graduation, he would like to attend an American university.

Teachers nominated Bowen because he is a kind and gentle student that works well with others, volunteers, and displays a strong work ethic in his classes.
