Office of Mission

December 3, 2018

This week, we enter into the Church's liturgical season of Advent - the four weeks before Christmas. We are invited into intentional reflection about and gratitude for the presence of God among us every day.  We look to Jesus, our light, to come and fill our hearts anew with joy and promise. Let us pray for the grace to be open to that wondrous gift!

Advent Prayer

Gracious God, you give to us of your abundance and we are grateful. During these weeks before Christmas,

help us to live the call to be "less hectic and more holy." Rouse us from a life of mindless wanting and help us recognize what is truly important and what is expendable. Reveal to us unexpected places of peace and simplicity

and let our hearts be content in you,

the Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer of our lives.

St. Joseph, patron of Cotter Schools - pray for us.

Live, Jesus, in our hearts - forever.

Blessings on your day!
