Office of Mission
December 10, 2018
During Advent, we celebrate Emmanuel - God is with us - and give thanks for God's abiding presence in our lives. December days can be long, stressful, cold and dark. As the prophet Isaiah foretold, Jesus came to be a light to the nations. Like Jesus, each of us is called to be HOPE and LIGHT for others.
Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one with whom I am pleased, upon whom I have put my spirit ... I have grasped you by the hand; I formed you and set you as a covenant of the people, a light for the nations. (Isaiah 42: 1,6)
How might you, in the coming weeks, participate in this mission of being HOPE and LIGHT for your friends, your family, and our world?
St. Joseph, patron of Cotter Schools - pray for us. Live, Jesus, in our hearts - forever.
Blessings on your day!
