"For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you,
says the Lord." (Jeremiah 29:11-14)
The season of Advent calls us to a heightened awareness of Christ-presence among us - a renewed hopefulness for increasing goodness in our world. Every one of us has gifts to share as we live each day seeking to make a difference. Christ is with us and desires good for us, always.
The message shared by our student leaders in prayer last week encouraged us to reflect on "How ya living'?" Are you making a daily impact by your words and actions? Can you be more kind and grateful this week?
"Gracious God, you give to us of your abundance and we are grateful. Rouse us from a life of mindless wanting and help us recognize what is truly important and what is expendable.
Reveal to us unexpected places of peace and simplicity
and let our hearts be content in you,
the Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer of our lives. AMEN."
