Greetings, Cotter community!

Lent begins this week. It is a penitential season within our church, during which time we, as followers of Christ, commit to 40 days of prayer, fasting and almsgiving so as to better love God and neighbor.  Here at Cotter Schools, we will be mindful of Lent in many ways in the coming weeks. Each week during Lent, in this space, we will share a brief 2 minute video inviting reflection on the meaning and practice of Lent.  Check out this week's video  here.

And join us in prayer as we ask God's guidance and blessing on our shared Lenten journey:

God of All Peoples,

As we look ahead to our Lenten journey,
may our fasting be a hunger for justice,
our alms an offering of peace,
and our prayers a reflection of humble and grateful hearts.

We ask the Holy Spirit to accompany us
as we spend these 40 days reflecting on what it means to be companions on the journey, seeking to truly encounter every person who comes before us each day.

We ask this in Jesus' name, AMEN.

St. Joseph, patron of Cotter Schools - pray for us.

Live, Jesus, in our hearts - forever.

Blessings on your day!
