Amy received her BS from Simpson College in Elementary Education with a Specialization in Reading Instruction and her MS in School Counseling from Drake University. Amy has experience as a classroom teacher and school counselor and is currently working as a Clinical Intern at Hiawatha Mental Health Center to complete a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Specialization at Drake University.

Amy and her husband Mike have three kids at Cotter Schools. Together they enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible hiking, shooting hoops or playing catch. Amy enjoys her family and friends, a good campfire and a great book!
