Catholic Schools Foundation
The Catholic Schools Foundation of Winona, MN (CSF) was founded in 1986. It is a public 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting the Catholic schools (pre-school through 12th grade) in the Winona community. All assets donated to the foundation are permanently endowed.
Through the hard work of many dedicated individuals and the generosity of numerous supporters of Catholic education, CSF now has an asset level of over $6,000,000. Ninety percent of the earnings from this endowment are distributed annually to Cotter High School, Cotter Junior High School and the Winona Area Catholic Schools (WACS) elementary system. The remaining ten percent of earnings are retained to grow the foundation asset level. In recent years, an average of $150,000 has been distributed annually to the schools. Since its inception, CSF has been able to distribute earnings of over 3 million dollars to help our Catholic Schools carry on their mission.
