Catholic Schools Foundation
The Catholic Schools Foundation of Winona (CSF) was founded in 1986. It was a public 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting the Catholic schools in Winona. In 2023, CSF merged with Cotter Schools.
Through the hard work of many dedicated individuals and the generosity of numerous supporters of Catholic education, the CSF fund at Cotter Schools now has an endowment of over $6,000,000. Ninety percent of the earnings from this endowment are distributed annually to Cotter Schools. The remaining ten percent of earnings are retained to grow the endowment. In recent years, an average of $245,000 has been distributed annually to the schools. Since its inception, contributions to CSF have led to distributions of over 3 million dollars to help our Catholic School carry on its mission.
