Two Week Tuition and Fees
Tuition only: $1,250 • Room and Board Fee: $1,200

Students may choose to stay at home or in personal accommodations, or they can opt for the on-campus boarding program.

What Tuition Includes
In addition to dance classes, your tuition includes a range of exciting evening and weekend activities that will make your time at MCA truly memorable. These activities may include:

• Visiting Kellogg, Minnesota's Famous LARK Toys: Enjoy a fun outing to Kellogg, where you can explore the charm of LARK Toys, known for its unique and nostalgic toy collection.
• Attending a Great River Shakespeare Performance: Immerse yourself in the world of Shakespeare with a captivating performance by the Great River Shakespeare Company.
• Exploring the Minnesota Marine Art Museum: Delve into the world of art and culture as you visit the renowned Minnesota Marine Art Museum, home to an impressive collection of artworks.
• Discovering Downtown Winona: Get a taste of the vibrant artist community in downtown Winona, where you can explore quaint shops, galleries, and cultural gems.

Boarding Accommodations
MCA understands the importance of providing a comfortable and safe boarding experience for participants who may be traveling from out of town. Boarding options are available for students who require accommodations during the intensive.

• Housing Facilities
  Participants will have the opportunity to stay in secure and convenient dorms provided by MCA’s affiliate organization, Cotter Schools.  As an international domestic boarding program during the school year, these facilities are designed to ensure the well-being and comfort of all participants.  Access to both dorms and meals are a short walk across the street from MCA.
• Supervision
  The safety and well-being of our students are paramount. Trained staff and chaperones will be on-site to provide supervision and support throughout the boarding experience.
• Meals
  Nutritious meals will be provided to all boarding students, ensuring they have the energy they need to excel in their dance training. The fully comprehensive boarding package includes a stipend for eating out when we are off campus. Special dietary considerations can be accommodated upon request.
• Community and Camaraderie
  Boarding students will have the opportunity to connect with fellow dancers from different backgrounds and build lasting friendships during their stay. The boarding experience enhances the sense of community and camaraderie that is a hallmark of MCA's Summer Dance Intensive.
• Transportation
  If you need assistance with transportation to and from Winona, MN, please contact MCA for guidance and information on available options.
• Registration
  Be sure to indicate your interest in boarding when you register for the Summer Dance Intensive. MCA will provide you with all the necessary details and requirements for boarding participants.

MCA is committed to making the boarding experience enjoyable and hassle-free, allowing students to focus on their dance training and personal growth. Our dormitory facilities currently include only male and female restrooms and shower areas. At this time, we are unable to offer alternative accommodations for students seeking gender-neutral or inclusive restroom and shower options. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are committed to fostering an inclusive community as we work toward meeting the needs of all our students in the future.

Talent-Based Scholarships
MCA offers talent-based scholarships to deserving participants. These scholarships are awarded on a case-by-case basis, and all interested applicants must first audition to be eligible for consideration.

Generous Support from the Minnesota State Arts Board
We are thrilled to announce that this year, thanks to the generous support of the Minnesota State Arts Board, we are able to offer a limited number of full and partial talent-based scholarships for Minnesota residents. One comprehensive scholarship will cover not only tuition but also room and board for the duration of the intensive.

To be considered for a talent-based scholarship, please ensure you participate in the audition process and indicate your interest in scholarship assistance during registration. Our scholarship committee will carefully review audition performances and applications to determine the recipients.
