Winona Arts Camp

Winona Arts Camp is a week-long creative adventure for young artists ages 6-12. Campers will explore various art forms in multiple exciting classes each day, as well as participate in a fun-filled arts enrichment field trip. The week wraps up with an informal showcase for family and friends. It's the perfect opportunity for kids to discover new talents and make lasting memories!

Winona Arts Camp is held over the course of two weeks, with each week being divided by the campers’ ages:

• 6-8 Year Olds: August 3-7, 2026, from 9:00 am-3:30 pm daily
• 9-12 Year Olds: July 27-31, 2026, from 9:00 am-3:30 pm daily

The cost for Winona Arts Camp, which includes quality instruction, a camp shirt, an off-campus field trip (and more!), is $240 for the week.

Every camper will participate in four to six classes each day based on their individual customized schedule and age group. While class assignments are based on student choices, a general daily schedule will look like this:

• 6-8 Year Olds
  • 9-9:15 am: Start-of-day Group Activity
  • 9:20-10:05 am: Class #1
  • 10:05-10:20 am: Snack/bathroom break
  • 10:20-11:10 am: Class #2
  • 11:15 am-12:05 pm: Class #3
  • 12:10-12:35 pm: Lunch break
  • 12:35-1:25 pm: Class #4
  • 1:30-2:20: Class #5
  • 2:20-2:35 pm: Snack/bathroom break
  • 2:35-3:25 pm: Class #6
  • 3:25-3:30 pm: End of Day Activity/Camper departure
• 9-12 Year Olds
  • 9-9:15 am: Start-of-day Group Activity
  • 9:20-10:35 am: Class #1
  • 10:35-10:50 am: Snack/bathroom break
  • 10:55 am-12:10 pm: Class #2
  • 12:10-12:35 pm: Lunch break
  • 12:40-1:45 pm: Class #3
  • 1:45-1:55 pm: Bathroom break
  • 2:00-3:15 pm: Class #4
  • 3:15-3:30 pm: End of Day Activity/Camper departure

All enrolled artists will receive a Google Form to select their class preferences after registration closes. Once the camp coordinator has received all form submissions, each camper’s individualized schedule will be sent out via email.

Registration closes at 11:59 pm on the following days for each section of camp:

• Winona Arts Camp for 6-8 Year Olds: Sunday, June 26, 2026
• Winona Arts Camp for 9-12 Year Olds: Sunday, June 19, 2026

All campers need to bring their own sack lunch, beverages, and one or two snacks per day. It is also highly recommended that all participants bring a reusable, sealed water bottle with them throughout the duration of the camp. (Note: Some classes may require students to bring additional items with them from home; this will be communicated along with their finalized daily schedule.)

Yes! For an additional $100, registered campers can enroll in the Winona Arts Camp Wraparound Care program and be able to be dropped off at MCA as early as 7:30 am and picked up as late as 5:30 pm each day. The end-of-camp showcase will take place on the final day of camp (Friday) at 2:30 pm in MCA’s Academy Theatre. This informal event will include live presentations from the theatre, music and dance classes, as well as feature a gallery full of the visual art creations made throughout the week.
