Ramblers Shine at 2025 State Meet

Cotter’s track and field athletes wrapped up an outstanding season with memorable performances at the State Track Meet, bringing home new school records, top finishes, and a team trophy.

Girls Highlights:

  • 100m: Clarissa Sauer placed 7th

  • 3200m: Sonja Semling finished 4th

  • 4x100m Relay: Claire Heiring, Elizabeth Gibson, Macy Donnenwerth, and Clarissa Sauer took 8th

  • 4x400m Relay: Claire Heiring, Erin Gibson, Brooklyn Staudacher, and Macy Piechowski placed 9th, setting a new school record with a time of 4:04.04

  • High Jump: Megan Baumgartner earned 7th place

Boys Highlights:

  • 400m: Brayden Novakoski placed 5th

  • 1600m: Erik Semling finished 3rd

  • 3200m: Erik Semling claimed the state title with 1st place; Ryan Littlefield took 6th and Kellen Groth placed 7th

  • Long Jump: Preston Meinke finished 4th

  • 4x200m Relay: Isaac Meinke, John Gibson, Logan Hicks, and Brayden Novakoski placed 4th and set a new school record with a time of 1:29.83

The Cotter boys team also brought home the third place team trophy—an impressive accomplishment that highlights a season of dedication and hard work.
