RAMbassadors Program Welcomes New Students

RAMbassadors Program Welcomes New Students

Cotter Schools kicked off the 2025-2026 school year by introducing the RAMbassadors, a new team of junior and senior student leaders dedicated to fostering a welcoming and supportive school culture. The RAMbassadors’ mission is to mentor incoming students, build connections across grade levels, and ensure every new Rambler feels a sense of belonging, from day one.

In the week before school, RAMbassadors led a series of activities to help new students feel “at home.” Highlights included a VIP Meet & Greet, where small groups toured campus and met key Cotter staff; a Faculty Meet & Greet for casual conversations with teachers; and the Clubs & Activities Fair, introducing students to Cotter’s many extracurricular opportunities.

On the first day of school, students were greeted with music, granola bars, a photo booth, and friendly RAMbassadors ready to guide and answer questions. To close out the first week, students gathered on the Cotter front lawn for games and an ice cream social, with ice cream generously sponsored by Steak Shop Catering and Food Service, Inc. and Ziebell's Hiawatha Foods.

RAMbassadors also hosted two new events: an Ice Cream Social at Nate & Ally’s, where mentors and mentees connected, and the Ram Walk & Talk, featuring small group campus tours where RAMbassadors were able to help new students find their way around campus.

These events mark the beginning of a year-long commitment from Cotter’s RAMbassadors to support and guide their peers, ensuring that all new students feel part of the Cotter community.

“I am so excited to see this group of RAMbassadors impact our entire Cotter community and to build meaningful connections with new students,” said Tammy Hoeger, Director of Student Life. “They have each been a part of some incredibly productive conversations and are committed to using their gifts to further a culture of kindness at Cotter this year.”

The RAMbassadors will continue to play an active role throughout the school year, helping plan events, lead initiatives, and serve as peer mentors as Cotter builds a culture of kindness and connection.
