Katelyn Ubl, a standout player for Cotter Schools, has officially signed with Luther College, bringing her exceptional talent and dedication to the collegiate level.
"Katelyn Ubl has improved more than any player in my coaching career at Cotter," said Head Coach Pat Bowlin. "Always extremely coachable and a team player, Katelyn has gone from a role player to someone every team plans to stop. The work she put in between her sophomore and junior year propelled her from an average player to a college-bound athlete. Katelyn set the all-time Cotter 3-point record for a game and a season during her junior year, and her extremely high basketball IQ sets her apart. A tremendous person and leader."
Reflecting on her journey, Ubl shared her gratitude: "I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to play basketball at Luther College. It has always been an aspiration of mine to play at the next level. All of this wouldn't be possible without the teammates, coaches, parents, and peers in my life. Girls Cotter basketball has taught me so much, and I will forever be grateful for all the memories I have made."
She continued, "To my teammates, thank you for all the laughter and support throughout our years playing together. To my coaches, Mr. Bowlin and Coach Barry, thank you for your time and dedication to making Cotter basketball so special for every single girl. Your life lessons have taught me not only to be a good basketball player but also a good person off the court. Lastly, to my family, who has shown unwavering support and love for me throughout my career, I thank you."
