Four New Members Inducted into Athletic Hall of Fame

Cotter Schools is proud to announce the 2025 inductees to the Cotter Athletic Hall of Fame: Kyle Brandon ’05, Jeff Glowacki ’85, and Matt & Mark Czaplewski ’81.

Kyle Brandon ’05 was an exceptional three-sport athlete at Cotter, excelling in cross country, basketball, and track and field. He earned nine varsity letters and served as captain in all three sports. A state champion in the 1600-meter run, he set multiple school records and was named Cotter Male Athlete of the Year in 2005. Brandon continued his athletic career at the University of St. Thomas, where he earned 12 varsity letters, 11 all-conference awards, three conference titles, two NCAA All-American honors, and Academic All-American recognition, while graduating with three school records. Today, he is a Senior Manager at Grant Thornton in Minneapolis.

Jeff Glowacki ’85 was a four-sport athlete at Cotter, competing in basketball, football, golf, and track. A late bloomer, he developed into a dominant scorer and rebounder, averaging a double-double his senior year and setting the school record for most points in a State tournament. He earned all-conference and all-tournament honors while helping Cotter reach back-to-back State Championship Finals. Academically, Glowacki was a four-year honor roll student and National Honor Society member. He went on to graduate with honors from the University of Southern California and later earned his MBA from UCLA. Today, he serves as the Managing Director and National Director of Wealth Advisory at Bessemer Trust.

Matt & Mark Czaplewski ’81 were standout athletes who led Cotter to State Championship games in both basketball and baseball their senior year. On the baseball field, Mark starred in center field while Matt pitched and played first base, with both earning all-conference and all-tournament honors. Matt became the team’s ace pitcher in 1981, leading the Ramblers into extra innings of the State title game. On the basketball court, the twins were key contributors to back-to-back conference championship teams, culminating in a State finals appearance after a 23–3 season. Matt earned two all-conference honors and was named All-State as a senior, while Mark earned all-conference recognition. Today, Matt works as an agent and financial adviser with Country Financial, and Mark owns C&B Window Cleaning and Alternative Cleaning. Both live in Rochester.

Cotter Schools congratulates these remarkable alumni on their induction and thanks them for their lasting contributions to Cotter athletics and the Rambler community.
