Daniel Gaedy Achieves First-Ever SACA Mechatronics Certification

Cotter Senior, Daniel Gaedy, has made history in Cotter Engineering as the first student to earn the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA) certificate in Mechatronics. This achievement follows many hours of dedicated study and applied knowledge, positioning him for a successful career in engineering.

Eric Paulsen, STEM/Mechatronics Instructor at Cotter, commented on the achievement: "Daniel consistently tackled complex challenges and put in the hard work necessary to master the material. Earning this SACA certification is a direct result of his dedication, and our entire CTE/Engineering learning community is incredibly proud of him."

The industry-recognized credential validates Gaedy’s advanced skills in integrated mechanical, electrical, and computer systems, marking a significant milestone in his journey as a student-engineer.

This program and Gaedy’s success were made possible through the vision and support of generous benefactors and key industry partners, including The Ron and Joyce Wanek Foundation, Jerry and Pat Papenfus, and The Slaggie Family Foundation, who provided the state-of-the-art equipment and curriculum necessary for students to train for these high-demand careers.
