Math Team Competes at State

The Cotter Math Team capped off a strong season with an impressive performance at the Minnesota State High School Mathematics League State Meet on Monday at Spring Lake Park.

After finishing the regular season ranked 5th in Class A, the team maintained its position, placing 5th out of 11 Class A teams at the highly competitive state competition. The meet brought together the top math teams from across Minnesota to challenge their problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning.

Coach Eric Errthum reflected on the team’s performance at state, saying, “Our balance this year was incredible—all nine team members scored within one or two points of each other. That depth and consistency were a big part of our success.”

The Cotter Math Team continues to be a strong competitor in the Minnesota State High School Mathematics League, demonstrating excellence in problem-solving and teamwork.
