MCA receives Arts in Education Grant from Minnesota State Arts Board

The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA), an affiliate organization of Cotter Schools, received a grant in the amount of $24,500 for the purpose of providing Winona and the surrounding communities with high-quality, multi-disciplinary arts education programming in the summer of 2025.  Funding will be used for three different opportunities for students aged 6-24. Winona Arts Camp is a week-long day camp designed for students aged 6-12, in which students may study a variety of artistic disciplines, taught by professional artists. Storybook Theatre, a metro-area-based theatre company, will work with students 1st-12th grade, to produce a full production of Rapunzel. Finally, MCA will hold their Summer Dance Intensive, a two-week-long residential program in which students study ballet and other dance forms. All opportunities are open to the community, with financial assistance available. For more information visit www.cotterschools.org/mca

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
